Mark Hubert – CEO & Co-founder

Natural resources sector executive and leader with 30 years of experience in both public and private sectors. National and international operational and policy expertise. Industry negotiator of world’s largest environmental agreement.

Dr. Casey Hubert – CSO, Co-founder & Co-Inventor

Internationally recognized and award-winning Geomicrobiologist. Renowned scientist in microbiology applications for the petroleum sector. CAIP Research Chair in Geomicrobiology, University of Calgary.

Dr. Milovan Fustic – Chief Geologist & Co-Inventor

Petroleum Geologist with impressive track record in industry and academia. Experienced oil industry expert having held positions with major Canadian and international oil companies.

Natalie Raffoul, J.D. P.Eng. – Legal Counsel

Managing Partner of Patent Law Firm of the Year in Canada. Internationally experienced and decorated IP and licensing expert. Co-Founder of Fortress IAM™. Since 2020, recognized by IAM as one of the World’s Leading IP Strategists.

Liddell Malan-Bennett – CFO

Experienced CFO, having also worked as VP Finance and financial controller in private, not-for profit and public sector environments. An accomplished financial and operations executive.

Dr. Steven Bryant – Reservoir Engineer, Senior Technical Advisor

Decorated petroleum engineering expert with over three decades of industry and academic experience. Former Canada Excellence Research Chair in Unconventional Oil Reservoirs. Lead scientist at Creative Destruction Lab.

Dr. Ali Kasraian, PhD – Reservoir Engineering Specialist

Leads reservoir modelling, techno-economic evaluation, and field-pilot readiness for METEOR in oil sands and heavy oil reservoirs. Over 14 years of experience in reservoir engineering, including roles at Cenovus Energy, Computer Modelling Group (CMG), and NanosTech.

Jianwei Chen, PhD – Microbiology Specialist and R&D Advisor

Expertise in microbiology spans physiology, ecology, and biotechnology, with a focus on anaerobic bioprocesses. Develops reservoir-adapted microbial strategies for enhanced oil recovery.

Dr. Mehdi Rezaei Abiz, PhD – Petroleum Engineer

Over 14 years of experience spanning upstream oil and gas operations, facility commissioning and startup, and reservoir engineering. Conducting research on microbial enhanced oil recovery.

Gloria Aghazadeh – Microbiology Specialist

Focus on microbial physiology, anaerobic bioprocesses, and the optimization of microbial activity. Investigates microbial denitrification and nitrogen gas production for the solutions for enhanced oil recovery.
